THREE FREE EVENT FLYERS FOR THE TAKING WITH SASE

On March 13 at the New England Region's annual Nor'Easter event, three event flyers were available to attendees. There were some copies left over, so now a self-addressed stamped envelope will get you one, two, or all three. Choose from the following:

1) Superhero Celebration III at Six Flags New England on Friday, June 11, 2004. Features one hour of morning ERT on Thunderbolt and Scream (including the opportunity to take photos on one tower running in "Maintenance Mode") and two hours of night ERT on Superman. Additional info such as pricing is available on the flyer. You can also email superheroevent3@hotmail.com with any questions.

2) RRC at Knoebels on Saturday, April 24, 2004 (postmark registration deadline is April 8). Features surprise tour, POP, Cesari's lunch, and 1 hour of evening ERT on Phoenix. 3) Western New York Coaster Club Coasterfest '04 on May 29-30 (Sat./Sun.), 2004 (postmark registration deadline is April 15). Saturday activities are at The Great Escape and feature POP, breakfast, lunch, and morning and evening ERT on Comet. Sunday activities are at Lake Compounce and feature POP, Boulder Dash birthday cake and raffle, evening Boulder Dash ERT. ACE SPRING FLING AT SILVERWOOD ANNOUNCED

The Northwest region of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) is hosting Spring Fling at Silverwood Theme Park on Saturday, May 15, 2004.

Silverwood Theme Park has been serving up thrills for nearly 20 years. In fact, you may have even seen some of the wide-eyed, outta breath, hair-all-messed up people who just got their fill of Tremors, the biggest, fastest roller coaster in the Northwest.

Thrills at Silverwood come in all shapes and sizes. For huge appetites, three big-time roller coasters, including two world renowned wooden coasters, are sure to satisfy. Tremors, the granddaddy of them all, is a 60-mile per hour twister that drops you 103 screaming feet into a pitch black tunnel of terror. Speaking of terror, Timber Terror is an outstanding out-and-back that’s sure to have you hanging onto your seat! And the aptly named Corkscrew will turn your world upside
down.

This day of fun will include exclusive ride time (ERT) on Tremors and Timber Terror, as well as a picnic lunch.

Inclement weather, equipment problems, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the schedule, however the park will endeavor to provide ride times and the rides listed.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM -- ERT on Tremors and Timber Terror (confirmed)
11:00 AM - 6:00 PM -- Park open to general public

2:00 PM - 2:15 PM -- Group photo
6:00 PM -- Park closes to general public
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM -- ERT on Tremors and Timber Terror (tentative)

Need Lodging?

A block of rooms at the Shilo Inn Coeur d’Alene has been set aside for May 14 and 15, 2004. Retail rates start at $79.95, but the hotel will offer our group a discounted rate of $65.00 per room per night (tax not included).

Please reserve by May 3, 2004, to receive special rate.

- All rooms have a microwave, refrigerator, hairdryer, coffeemaker, ironing unit, and dataport.

- Complimentary continental breakfast, parking, local calls, and evening snacks of popcorn or apples.

- The indoor pool, spa, steam room, sauna, and fitness center are open 24 hours daily.

ACE DAY AT SIX FLAGS DARIEN LAKE ANNOUNCED

Please join your fellow ACE members for the second annual ACE Day at Six Flags Darien Lake on Saturday, June 5, 2004.

The park is offering us a good deal, including an hour of ERT on Superman!

For one price, you get entry to the park, ERT on Superman, lunch, and four hours of unlimited soft drinks. Six Flags season pass holders qualify for a reduced rate.

WHO CAN ATTEND

To be admitted, you'll need to have registered in advance. To register, send the required information and payment to address below. You must be in one of the following categories to attend this event:

1. An ACE member. Provide your ACE member number. Pay the ACE member rate.

2. A guest of an ACE member. You must register at the same time as the ACE member. Pay the non-member rate.

3. A member of another coaster club. When registering, indicate your club name. Pay the non-member rate.

All club members (ACE or other) must be prepared to show a membership card on the day of the event for admission. Without a membership card, we reserve the right to bar admittance and you will forfeit your registration fee.

COST

ACE Members - Six Flags Season Pass Holder: $15.00
ACE Members - Without Six Flags Season Pass: $28.00
Non-ACE Members - Six Flags Season Pass Holder: $17.00
Non-ACE Members - Without Six Flags Season Pass: $30.00

If you pay the season pass holder rate, you'll need to present your valid Six Flags season pass for entry to the park. If you don't have your season pass, you will be refused admittance and will forfeit your registration fee.

FOLLOW PARK RULES

You must follow park rules during the event, including during ERT. Those who do not may be removed from the park and will forfeit their registration fee. Photos cannot be taken while riding, even during ERT.

HOW TO REGISTER

For each person attending, we need:

- Your name as you want it to appear on your name tag.
- Your current city and state.
- Your season pass status: yes or no.
- ACE member number or club name, as described above.
- Payment in full for registration.

If you provide an email address (only one per registration form, please), you will be notified when your registration has been received.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION

All registrations need to be received by May 22. Advance registration is required. WE CANNOT ACCEPT WALK-INS. No refunds will be given.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

9:00 AM - Parking Lot opens for ACE members and their guests. The parking fee is $7.00 and is payable on arrival. Pick up your entry badge at this time.

9:30 AM - 10:30 AM ERT: To participate in ERT, you'll need to wear your entry badge. We've been promised ERT on Superman.

10:30 AM - 10:00 PM: Enjoy the park along with the general public. Your admission to the event includes general admission for the day.

11:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Unlimited Soft Drinks. All attendees will have soft drinks available for four hours.

Noon - 1:00 PM: Lunch. Join your fellow ACEers for lunch.

The lunch provided will include grilled hot dogs, pulled barbeque chicken, Italian rotine pasta salad, tossed green salad, green beans, Fudgecicles, and freshly baked cookies.

ACE DAY AT CONEY ISLAND ANNOUNCED

The ACE MetroNY Cyclone Day is scheduled for Palm Sunday, April 4, 2004 from 12 Noon until 4:00 PM. All coaster enthusiasts and their guests are welcome. Just meet by the Group Sales ticket booth, across from the Cyclone around 11:45 AM and present your ACE membership card to purchase your wristbands (for you and your guests). The cost is $8.99 for unlimited rides on the Cyclone and all the rides at Astroland, - no ERT is necessary on the Cyclone. No pre-registration is necessary. I will keep the ACE website, MetroNY website www.aceonlineny.org and ACENews updated with any additional information.
