BOO-LDER DASH BASH ANNOUNCED!

Boo-lder Dash Bash will take place at Lake Compounce in Bristol/Southington, CT on Saturday, October 25, 2003. Additional information about this event such as prices, ride times, registration times, etc. will be posted here as it becomes available.

For only $18 you will get full day admission to "The Lake" and one hour night ERT on Boulder Dash after the park closes! Park hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking is $5.00.

"Midway Moola" will be available for purchase at a 10% discount during registration and can be used for food, merchandise, and Midway Games. (Soft drinks at LC are FREE!)

Door Prizes will be awarded!

There are TWO ways to register:

#1 (strongly encouraged) Send check or money order, made out to Rus Ozana/RRC, in an amount equal to $18 per person attending. Include the name, home town, and state of all attendees and send to:

Please do NOT mail checks after September 7.

#2 "Late" Registration takes place on the day of the event between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. 'under the bridge' at the entrance to the park.

In either case, save time at registration -- provide the name & hometown of all persons in your party who plan to attend this event so that name badges can be produced ahead of time.

ATTENTION LAKE COMPOUNCE SEASON PASS HOLDERS!!!

IF we get the minimum number of attendees to quality for ERT (100 persons), Lake Compounce Season Pass Holders can attend for the nominal fee of $5.00 (to defray the costs of door prizes). SP holders are asked to stop by the registration table at 11 a.m. when the final count will be determined.

This event is open to any and all roller coaster fans. You need not be a member of any coaster club to participate in the fun.

EVENT NEWS FROM THE METRO NY REGION

Announcing a Regional ACE Event at Rye Playland

Please join us at Playland in Rye, New York on

SATURDAY, AUGUST 16, 2003

at an American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) Event for all coaster and park enthusiasts. Help us celebrate Playland's 75th Anniversary!!!!

Exact plans are being worked out; the following itinerary is subject to change:

- 10:00 AM Registration at Main gate
- 11:00 AM-Noon - ERT on select historic rides (to be determined)
- Noon -2:00 PM - Meals on the Go
- A "mini" marathon of 75 spins on Dragon Coaster starting at 12:30 PM (all welcome to enter)***
- Park opens to the public at Noon. Enjoy the park until closing at Midnight.
- Cost: $9 per person (plus parking discount) (includes ERT; Potential Marathon Participation; Meal Ticket; Two coupons per person for two-for-one purchase of additional 24-ticket books and much more ! over $65 worth of stuff!!!!)

Please send her an informal RSVP by Friday, August 8, to let her know if you think you will be attending this event, including the total number in your group (including guests). Note that this reply does not commit you to attend, nor are you prohibited from coming if you miss the deadline! She just needs to gauge how many to plan for.

*** MARATHON ENTRY: At registration time, those wanting to participate in the Dragon Coaster Marathon will add their names to a list. Only the first 24 that sign up can do the marathon. Teams of 4 riders will ride the Dragon for one hour each. At the time of registration, each team will be given a time to report for their session. This is first come, first served, so the order the names are taken will determine the time and grouping of your team.
